Install in 3 steps
No Python, no server, no GPU — it's all JavaScript inside the panel.
Double-click install.bat
Enables unsigned panels for your user and copies Isaac3D into the CEP extensions folder. Takes a second.
Restart After Effects
Open it from Window > Extensions > Isaac3D — it docks like any native panel.
Changed your mind? uninstall.bat removes it cleanly. Nothing else on your machine is touched.
How it works
Pick your bodies
Select layers (or take the whole comp). Each becomes dynamic, static, kinematic or dormant — a box, a cube, a sphere, or the convex hull of a real 3D model.
Slide, watch, repeat
Gravity, bounce, friction, six walls with depth, blasts — every change re-simulates instantly. Watch it from the front, top, side, or orbit around it in 3D.
Bake
Position X/Y/Z & Rotation X/Y/Z keyframes land on the real layers, in one undo group. From there it's just After Effects.
Why it's useful
Real 3D models
glb, gltf, obj and fbx layers are parsed from the file: true depth, a convex hull for collisions and a wireframe of the actual mesh in the preview. AE only tells you the width and height — Isaac3D reads the rest.
Cubes that are cubes
A square shape layer can be a crate, not a card. Flat layers get a thickness, spheres roll, and 2D layers can stay locked to the comp plane when you want the classic look.
Four views
Front, top and side orthographic views plus an orbitable perspective. Scrub it, sync the AE playhead, click a body to tune it — or click to place a blast in 3D.
Blasts
Radial impulses at any frame and any 3D point — strength, lift, spin, radius, falloff. Blow the stack apart on the beat.
Kinematic layers
Already animated a paddle or a wrecking ball? Mark it kinematic and it follows your keyframes while shoving everything else around — in all three axes.
Honest keyframes, one undo
No expressions, no hidden effects. Plain Position and Rotation keys on every axis that you can edit, ease, or delete — and a single Ctrl+Z if you hate it.
