Up and running in 4 steps
No installer, no admin rights, no AutoHotkey needed β it's one self-contained file.
Download AudioSwitch.exe
Hit the download button. One file, about 1 MB β drop it anywhere you like.
Double-click it
A headphone icon appears in your system tray. That's it β it's now listening for your shortcut.
Press F12
The picker pops up at your cursor. Don't like F12? Set your own combo in Settings.
Click a device
Your default output switches instantly. Right-click the tray icon for Settings, About, or Exit.
Want it always ready? Open Settings from the tray icon and tick βStart automatically with Windows.β Now your shortcut works from the moment you log in.
How it works
Hit your hotkey
A global shortcut (default F12) pops the picker over whatever you're doing β game, call, DAW, anything.
See your outputs
Every active output device, each labeled with its adapter β Bluetooth, Realtek, NVIDIA β so identical names are easy to tell apart. No Control Panel.
Click β done
Windows' default output flips immediately. Sound follows you to the device you picked.
Why it slaps
One global hotkey
Switch outputs without leaving your game or call. The picker comes to you, on top of everything.
Your shortcut, your call
Rebind it to any combo β Ctrl+Alt+S, a spare function key, whatever fits your hands.
Lives in the tray
A clean headphone icon sits quietly in your tray. Right-click for Settings, About, or a one-click Exit.
Truly standalone
One .exe. No installer, no AutoHotkey, no admin rights. Copy it to any Windows PC and run.
Starts with Windows
Flip one switch and it's armed the second you log in β every day, no thinking about it.
